Roto Grip Vintage Gem

The Roto Grip Vintage Gem brings together proven Gem-series core technology with a cleaner, more responsive pearl coverstock to create a strong yet controllable option for medium-heavy to heavy oil conditions. Built around the Defiant LRG Core and wrapped in eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive, the Vintage Gem is designed to clear the front of the lane, establish traction through the midlane, and produce a strong, continuous arc downlane.

The eTrax PLUS Pearl Reactive coverstock represents an enhanced version of Roto Grip’s eTrax chemistry. Adjustments to the formulation create more overall strength and responsiveness than the original eTrax covers while remaining cleaner and less early than MicroTrax formulations. The result is a pearl cover designed to combine front-lane length with dependable midlane traction and a more responsive move downlane.

At the center of the Vintage Gem is the proven Defiant LRG Core. Originally introduced in the Gem, this asymmetric design was engineered around flare migration and continuous motion. Its low-RG construction helps the ball rev quickly, while its core dynamics are designed to keep the ball rolling and continuing through the pins. Unlike some newer releases, the Vintage Gem intentionally uses the Defiant LRG design without A.I. Core Technology.
